JNVST Sathi is a free educational practice app for candidates preparing for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) for admission to Class VI. It is published under the Khachi brand and operated from jnvstsathi.navodaya24x7.com. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with information.
The app is intended for children of approximately 10 and 11 years of age, and for the parents and teachers who help them prepare. It is designed so that a child can use it without providing any personal information about themselves.
The app has no account, no sign-up and no login. It never asks for, and has no way to receive, a name, age, address, school, telephone number, email address, photograph, or location. We do not use advertising, analytics services, tracking pixels, social media plug-ins, or any third-party code that could observe a user. Nothing is sold, rented or shared with anyone, and no profile of any user is created.
Questions and reading passages are stored in our own database and are sent to the app when a practice test begins. This means the app makes a network request to our server. No information about the user is included in that request — only which section is wanted and how many questions.
To stop automated programs from copying our entire question bank, our server counts how many requests come from each internet connection in an hour. To do this without holding anyone's identity, the connection's IP address is converted immediately into an irreversible cryptographic hash using a secret value known only to us. Only that hash is stored. It cannot be turned back into an IP address, it is not linked to any person, and it is automatically deleted within 24 hours.
Separately, and as with any website, our hosting provider keeps standard server access logs for a short period for security and fault diagnosis. We do not use these logs to identify or profile any user.
Your test scores, your best results, your progress and your choice of language (Hindi or English) are saved in the app's own storage on your phone. They stay on the phone, are never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and are removed if the app is uninstalled or its data is cleared.
Because the app requests no personal information from anyone, it requests none from children. Nothing a child does in the app is used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than showing them their own practice results on their own device.
There are no advertisements of any kind. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no payments. The app is free.
The app requires only internet access, in order to download practice questions. It does not request access to the camera, microphone, contacts, storage, location, or any other sensitive feature of the device.
JNVST Sathi is an independent practice app. It does not represent any government entity. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), the Ministry of Education, or the Government of India.
The app provides practice questions and mock tests only. It does not process applications, registrations, admissions or results, and it cannot submit anything on a candidate's behalf. Official information about the selection test — including notifications, application dates, eligibility, admit cards and results — is published by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti at https://navodaya.gov.in and, for Class VI admission, at https://navodaya.gov.in/nvs/en/Admission-JNVST/JNVST-class/. Please rely only on those official websites.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Material changes will also be noted in the app's Play Store listing.
